Tahini cookies

200g tahini

150g ground almonds

150g flour

1 egg

4 tbsp honey

1 tbsp baking powder

100g sugar/sugar substitute

drop of vanilla essence

sprinkle of salt

walnuts/sesame seeds to decorate

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until it reaches cookie dough consistency. If too dry add a splash of milk.
  2. Roll into small balls and place on a lined/greased baking tray.
  3. Push whole walnuts into the tahini balls or flatten and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Bake on a lined tray in the oven at 180 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.

Mix it up: try adding choc chips or cocoa powder

Make it vegan: sub the egg for a flax egg, use a liquid sweetener in place of honey

  1. your recipe looks absolutely amazing, but if you let me, I would leave suggestion; for vegans instead of using eggs we can use flax eggs and instead of honey, we can add a liquid sweetener or even add more sugar and a bit of water 🙂 thanks for charing such nice recipe 😉
